Rumble Resources (RTR) has released an updated mineral resource estimate (MRE) for two mining leases at its Western Queen Gold Project.

Western Queen lies 110 kilometres northwest of Mt Magnet within the Yalgoo Mineral field of Western Australia and consists of two mining leases and two exploration tenements.

The MRE update was completed independently by Cube Consulting after they completed a drill database update.

The new indicated and inferred JORC 2012 MRE reads 2.1 million tonnes at 2.42 grams of gold per tonne (g/t) for 163,268 ounces.

This is a 35 per cent increase in ounces and a 145 per cent increase in indicated ounces.

Managing Director Shane Sikora says this updated resource could help support the start of underground mining operations.

“The independent resource report highlights that the gold resources could potentially support a rapid start-up open-pit and underground mining operation, combined with industry-standard gold processing technology that could be toll treated at the three nearby processing mills within a 110-kilometre radius,” Mr Sikora said.

“There is scope to significantly expand the resources at depth and discover further near surface and underground deposits along the 35 kilometres of highly prospective Western Queen shear zone strike which has yet to be drill tested.”

Shares in Rumble were down 2.04 per cent on the market and were trading at 48 cents at 11:18 am AEST.
