S2 Resources (S2R) has been given the green light from the Finnish Court for its Ruopas Isovaara exploration permit in Finland.

The Administrative Court of Northern Finland has dismissed the objection to the grant of the exploration licence, therefore, allowing the permit to be granted.

The area, previously referred to as Ruopas 1, is considered prospective for intrusive magmatic style nickel, copper and platinum group elements (PGE) mineralisation.

Importantly, the exploration permit is home to a previously identified target.

S2 is planning a diamond drilling program in the upcoming Finnish summer at Isovaara. The initial focus on the program will be on a well-defined nickel and copper target found in the airborne survey.

This conductor includes a large 280-metre by 240-metre plate plunging steeply to the northeast.

Notably, drilling at the project will be following the next round of diamond drilling at the Aarnivalkea gold prospect.

On market close for the day, S2 is up 6.45 per cent and is trading at 16.5 cents per share.
