Sustainable bioplastics developer SECOS Group has announced the new range of highly compostable carry bags has been developed.

Created by South African company, Superior Packaging Industries these bags offer a new range of Hugh quality compostable carry bags and carton liners as alternatives to single use plastics.

This new range of environmental products will be primarily used in the delivery of food products such as grape bags and fruit box liners.

Superior Packaging produces film products which can be used in a variety of different ways and on a variety of different sources. It has compostable plastics in the dairy, bakery, produce and tissue wrapping sectors.

SECOS is a leading developer and manufacturer in sustainable packaging materials. Its Cardia Bioplastics range develops, manufacturers and markets its renewable materials in the national and international market.

Its Cardia Compostable plastics are soft to the touch, countable and printable. Uses include: shrink wrap, shopping and waste bags, indoor signage, labels, tags, utensils, containers and bottles.

The Cardia Biohybrid data sheets are colourable, printable and can be used on existing equipment to make applications such as shopping and waste bags, utensils and containers.

SECOS Director of Sales Stephen Walters hopes these bags will help the environment.

“Developments such as this show how innovative packaging companies can use Cardia resins to provide greater choice to their customers and support the shift to responsible environmental packaging solutions,” he said.
