Si6 Metals (SI6) has begun survey work at the Dibete, Airstrip and Maibele North projects in Botswana.

These projects are located within the Limpopo Mobile belt which is known for hosting major nickel and copper producing operations.

Si6 will undertake a 33-line audio frequency magnetotellurics (AMT) survey across the three projects to generate drill targets at Dibete and Airstrip and to fully define the extent of open anomalies at Maibele North.

This follows gradient array induced polarisation and pole dipole induced polarisation surveys at Airstrip and Dibete as well as an AMT survey at Maibele North.

The work at the Airstrip and Dibete projects identified multiple promising targets to a depth of around 120 metres. However, the interpreted models for mineralisation suggests potential mineralised zones may extend further beneath this.

The AMT survey at Maibele North successfully mapped sulphide mineralisation and detected significant responses to a vertical depth of one kilometre. The success of the previous AMT survey is what prompted the company to undertake another one.

Company shares were trading steady at 1.2 cents at 3:20 pm AEST.
