Sipa Resources (SRI) has received the first assay results from its Skeleton Rock project in the Goldfields region of Western Australia.

Focus was on two targets identified from Sipa’s recently completed detailed aeromagnetic surveys and auger soil sampling program.

Portable x-ray fluorescent (pXRF) analysis of the samples highlighted zones of elevated copper-nickel-cobalt coincident with greenstones interpreted from detailed aeromagnetics.

Results have been received for 10 of the 128 aircore holes drilled and while the samples were prioritised for assaying, no significant gold or metal anomalism was encountered.

Assays from the remaining holes are still at the lab and will be reported on as they become available.

“We will now await the remaining assays and review the results from our second auger program prior to deciding our next steps at Skeleton Rock,” Managing Director Pip Darvall said.

“To date, we have completed first pass work on eight kilometres of the roughly 40-kilometre strike length of our main area of focus, and there is still plenty more opportunity to be tested. We remain optimistic about Skeleton Rocks as the geology intersected in the recent drilling was very encouraging.”

Sipa has ended the day 11.1 per cent in the red with shares trading at 4.8 cents.
