Spacetalk (SPA) has announced that the Denmark-based Telenor Group will stock Spacetalk’s Adventurer smartwatch range online and in all of its Danish stores.
Telenor is Denmark’s second-largest mobile network operator, with 1.7 million mobile subscribers.
It has more than 188 million customers across the Nordics and Asia, with annual sales of around US$14 billion (A$19.5 billion).
Spacetalk and Telenor are targeting launch in January 2022.
While the financial impact is currently unknown and guaranteed or minimum level of revenue has been disclosed, Spacetalk expects it to have a positive impact on its revenue.
Spacetalk Adventurer is the company’s next-generation 4G smartphone watch for kids aged between five to 12.
These watches allow parents to communicate with their children without allowing access to the internet, meaning apps such as Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram cannot be accessed.
Parents are also able to block calls and messages from unknown numbers and will be notified if any try to call.
Shares in Spacetalk were down 2.86 per cent on the market and were trading at 17 cents at 1:13 pm AEDT.
