Suvo Strategic (SUV) has upped the mineral resource at its White Cloud Kaolin in Western Australia project by 4.4 million tonnes compared to a 2020 estimate.

The total mineral resource at the project comes in at 39.5 million tonnes of bright white kaolinised granite, representing an increase of 13 per cent compared to the previous estimate of 35.1 million tonnes in June 2020.

Infill resource definition drilling at SUV’s wholly owned project started in October 2020, with 76 aircore drill holes executed for 1608 metres within the previously defined inferred mineral resource, in a bid to upgrade the resource classification.

The efforts have proved to be a small victory for the company, with infill drilling moving the majority of tonnes from inferred status into indicated. Indicated resources now sit at 26.7 million tonnes with inferred at 12.8 million tonnes.

ISO brightness in the kaolinised granite brightness increased marginally to 80.7 per cent.

Now that Suvo has an updated mineral resource, the company says it can continue with its the pre-feasibility study to determine optimal mining, processing and logistical infrastructure for the development of the White Cloud project.

Further to this, offtake agreements can also now be finalised, which SUV says are “well advanced” with local and international customers.

The explorer says results from separate extension drilling undertaken in December last year are anticipated in March, with an expectation to “significantly increase” the size of the resource.

All up, 31 aircore drill holes were drilled for 404 metres, with all that reached target depths intersecting bright white kaolinised granite.

At the end of today’s session, Suvo Strategic shares closed in the grey at 15 cents each.
