Suvo Strategic Minerals (SUV) has begun step-out aircore drilling at its White Knight Kaolin project in Western Australia.

White Knight lies 210 kilometres northeast of Perth and has a maiden JORC resource of 35.1 million tonnes of kaolinised granite.

In total, 34 holes for 1000 metres will be drilled with aims to increase the size of the resource.

Assay results and resource estimates are expected early next year.

Additionally, bulk samples will be collected from areas of interest and sent to the U.K. for metallurgical testwork to further define grades and quality.

“Following our successful 1550 metre drilling program that produced 10 – 20 metres of ultra-bright white intercepts on the southern boundary, we are now proceeding with a larger step-out drilling program that could potentially see a significant increase in our inferred resource,” Executive Director Aaron Banks said.

“As this is a newly discovered deposit, we are excited to conduct further work to fully understand the geology as our maiden inferred resource of 31.5 million tonnes sits on only half a percent of our greater exploration tenement area,” he added.

Suvo is also waiting on results from 135 samples taken from a recently completed drilling campaign.

Company shares are up 3.85 per cent on the market and are trading at 13.5 cents at 2:06 pm AEDT.
