TechGen Metals (TG1) has completed its maiden exploration reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at its John Bull gold project in NSW.

The company drilled seven RC holes for 887 metres along a single line to test the historical John Bull gold shafts, the main gold sluiced area, the historical surface trench and an induced polarisation chargeability high.

Each of the holes was sampled along its entire length at one-metre intervals, and samples are at the laboratory being assayed for gold and multi-elements.

TechGen said the drilling intersected varying amounts of quartz veining grading between one to 40 per cent as well as varying amounts of dispersed pyrite.

Further, six of the holes encountered a sequence of fine to medium-grained, carbon-rich sedimentary rocks with dolerite and dolerite dykes measuring a thickness of more than one metre.

TechGen expects to receive assay results throughout September and said it would update the market once they become available.

TechGen has ended the day in the grey with shares trading at 15 cents.
