Tietto Minerals (TIE) has reported further shallow, high-grade gold results from diamond drilling at Abujar-Gludehi South (AG South) deposit.

The AG South deposit is part of the 2.2 million ounce Abujar Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa.

The ongoing drilling program is part of a greater 50,000 metre program and is testing the strike and depth extensions located south of the high-grade AG core.

Latest results account for five holes and have pleasingly continued to demonstrate extensions of high-grade gold mineralisation which remains open along strike and at depth.

The best result came from hole ZDD239 and intersected eight metres at 8.30g/t gold from 183 metres including one metre at 64.30g/t gold.

These results build on previously reported shallow, high-grade gold mineralisation. Previous results include one metre at 17.99g/t gold from 98 metres, six metres at 17.52g/t gold from 34 metres, and one metre at 30.81g/t gold from 106 metres.

“We are pleased to report more shallow high‐grade drill intercepts at AG South that adds to the potential of generating open pitable resources, just 1.5 kilometres along strike from the high‐grade core of AG, defined as 19.3Mt at 2.2g/t of gold for 1.38 million ounces,” Managing Director Dr Caigen Wang said.

Tietto’s 50,000 metre program is ongoing and is ultimately aiming to increase the resource of existing deposits as well as discover new prospects along the Abujar Project’s 70 kilometre long corridor. Encouragingly, 90 per cent of the strike length is yet to be tested.

Company shares are up a slight 1.04 per cent and are trading for 48.5 cents each at 3:48 pm AEST.
