Todd River Resources (TRT) has completed an aircore drilling campaign at its Berkshire Valley Project in Western Australia.

The drilling campaign was completed along around eight kilometres of strike on the western trend of mafic and ultramafic intrusions. Almost 300 holes were completed for approximately 5500 metres of drilling to target previously identified nickel-copper-platinum group element geochemical anomalies.

The drilling intersected broad zones of mafic and ultramafic rocks with varying degrees of shearing and alteration. No large accumulations of sulphides were identified in any of the drill hole chips, however, indications that drilling is taking place in the right geological environment for nickel-copper-platinum group element mineralisation have been spotted. This includes structural sights like rocks tending to be more massive in the central parts of the intrusions and sheared on the margins.

2860 samples have been collected from these holes and submitted to Intertek Genalysis in Perth for base and precious metal analysis.

It is expected that assay results will become available during the last week of May.

Additionally, Todd River Resources has completed its Eastern Trend auger geochemical sampling. This is the first systematic exploration program to have been undertaken along the mafic and ultramafic intrusions of the eastern trend.

Around 2000 geochemical samples were collected and are now undergoing sample preparation in house, being crushed and sieved to ensure sand and coarse rock fragments are removed, so a consistent sample can be sent in for assay. The company expects to receive assay results from the auger geochemical sampling in June 2021.

Following the receipt of all assay results from both programs, the company says it will plan follow up work.

Todd River Resources is up 3.39 per cent, trading at 6.1 cents at 9:25 am AEST.
