Uniti Wireless Limited has acquired the Pivit Private Fibre customer base. Pivit is an established broadband service provider in privately-fibred, multi-dwelling residential developments.
Unit Wireless Limited will acquire customer bases at four different locations and will add to the Fuzenet business acquired by UWL in February 2019.
UWL will acquire Pivit for $450,000 and will gain some approximately 2000 customers to its fibre business, with all customers expected to migrate by the end of the FY19.
The Fuzenet acquisition has provided a pathway for UWL to more than triple its tower presence and considerably expand its national fixed wireless infrastructure.
UWL continues to consider advancements investments in other wireless infrastructures. The growth of the Fibre Networks customer base will support the migration to Wireless. Wireless acquisitions will service both residential and corporate markets.
Fibre Networks was recently added through the Fuzenet acquisition which is basically an alternative to NBN. This growing NBN-alternative market is one that UWL is intending to build scale and expertise in marketing to and supporting customers in these communities.
UWL CEO Michael Simmons said “The addition of the Pivit customer base materially grows our private fibre customer portfolio and extends our reach into more network operators in this attractive NBN-alternative market segment.
The sizeable forecast earnings contribution brought by Pivit delivers strong EPS accretion to our shareholders, which is a core expectation of any acquisition we make.”
The transaction is expected to take place on the 30th April 2019, if not soon after.
