  • Aquabotix awarded USD$150,000 for purchase of its SwarmDiver system
  • Fourth, and largest, order placed by the United States Armed Forces

Aquabotix has announced it has been awarded USD$150,000 for the purchase of its SwarmDiver system alongside training and test support for the United States Military.

This technology will enable necessary government evaluation activities for the Military’s consideration of operational use of the product.

Aquabotix makes and sells underwater commercial and industrial-grade drones for commercial, high-end consumer and military use.

Its SwarmDiver product was the first underwater swarming drone available on the market. SwarmDivers are micro-sized unmanned swarming and diving vehicles used for water applications in anything from shallow water to the surf zone.

It has developed multiple different uses from NIGHTLINE for nighttime recovery, EDGE to respond to threats of piracy and militant groups and STEALTH for covert defence operations.

It can be used in stealth for covert defence operation, during the night for special forces and nighttime recovery and SwarmDiver EDGE to respond to threats of piracy and militant groups.

This order marks the fourth order placed by the United States Armed Forces relating to the SwarmDiver series.

It was previously awarded a $30,500 contract from the United States Navy in April. This order supported the testing and evaluating activities with the potential for follow on orders.

CEO of Aquabotix Whitney Million is pleased for its product to be servicing the United States again.

“We are proud to have this opportunity to provide our SwarmDiver solution once more to the United State Military and are optimistic about related future opportunities,” she said.
