Vection Technologies (VR1) has signed a pilot agreement with agri-food processing leader Mutti for its augmented reality (AR) solution Trainer Creator.
Mutti is an Italian tomato brand and brought in €378 million (around A$610 million) in revenue for 2019.
Trainer Creator allows machine operators and technicians to visualise task-specific information applied on the machine, via an AR wearable or a smart device, making the brand’s operations more efficient and cost-effective.
The AR solution will be deployed in the first of forty production lines operated by Mutti, with revenue from the deal valued at around $50,000.
Vection says Mutti represents a significant first-use case in the agrifood industry for the Trainer Creator software solution.
“During the last six months, we have been experiencing a strong market interest for our augmented reality solutions and products, since the launch of Trainer Creator,” Managing Director Gianmarco Biagi said.
“Mutti represents a key client in a new vertical and a strong opportunity for further growth for the company, leading into 2021,” he added.
In June, the company launched Trainer Creator, with V-Shapes signing on as its first client.
On the market this afternoon, Vection is up 4.35 per cent and trading at 12 cents each at 12:49 pm AEDT.
