White Cliff Minerals (WCN) has begun a reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at its Reedy South Gold Project.

Reedy South spans 156 square kilometres and lies in the Cue Goldfields of Western Australia.

Historical exploration at the project has been limited to surface prospecting, geochemistry, and broad spaced shallow drilling.

Up to 3000 metres of RC drilling will be undertaken with aims to grow the resource and covert the inferred resource to indicated.

Drilling is expected to take three weeks with results to be sent to ALS laboratory in Perth for fire assay.

Shallow infill drill holes will also be completed with aims to increase the resource and test strike extensions.

Work is expected to be completed in early December with results expected in mid to late December.

Simultaneously, White Cliff has begun a detailed geological mapping program across tenement E20/969 and the recently acquired Cracker Jack Project.

This mapping program will aim to follow-up historical sampling and drilling programs as well as aid in future exploration programs.

“Following the release of the maiden mineral resource estimate (MRE) for Reedy South, the Board has been eager to get on the ground and drilling,” Technical Director Ed Mead commented.

“From reviewing the historical drilling data and the MRE, we see scope to expand the resource base along strike and at depth – the 3000 metre program will be aimed at confirming this view,” he said.

“Concurrently with the drilling, we have mobilised a small team into the field to undertake structural mapping across E20/969 and the recent Cracker Jack acquisition,” he concluded.

Shares in White Cliff are up 9.09 per cent and are trading for 3.6 cents each at 12:54 pm AEDT.
