  • Mineral Explorer Woomera Mining (WML) appoints Jason Livingstone as its new Managing Director, effective from August 16
  • It comes after former Managing Director Kevin Seymour stepped down from the top job in March, having only been in the position for a little over a year
  • The company says Mr Livingstone is an experienced geologist with 20 years in the mining industry in Australia and overseas, working with different commodities and terrains
  • Prior to the appointment, he was a Technical Director at resource developer Metalicity (MCT)
  • WML shares are down 5.2 per cent and trading at 1.8 cents at 2:40 pm AEST

Mineral explorer Woomera Mining (WML) has appointed Jason Livingstone as its new Managing Director, effective from August 16.

It comes after former Managing Director Kevin Seymour stepped down from the top job, finishing up in March this year after only a little over a year in the position.

The company said Jason Livingstone was an experienced exploration geologist, with 20 years of experience in the mining industry in Australia and overseas.

Mr Livingstone graduated from the WA School of Mines with a Bachelor of Science in Mineral Exploration and Mining Geology, completed an MBA from Curtin University in 2016 and completed the Company Directors course from the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2016.

Prior to the Woomera appointment, Mr Livingstone had been a Technical Director at listed resource developer Metalicity (MCT) and had experience in roles such as Chief Geologist and Alternate Director in a number of different companies.

Woomera said Mr Livingstone had experience in different commodities and geological terrains, including in WA, Africa, China and Panama.

The new position will earn Mr Livingstone $220,000 per year, plus super.

WML shares were down 5.2 per cent and trading at 1.8 cents at 2:40 pm AEST.
