Zenith Minerals (ZNC) has intersected further high-grade copper and zinc at its Develin Creek project in Queensland.
A three-rig drilling program began at Develin Creek in September to test copper-zinc targets at the Wilsons North and Snook prospects as well as around the Sulphide City deposit.
Results have been received for seven reverse circulation (RC) holes drilled at Sulphide City with new results including nine metres at 1.8 per cent copper, 18.1 per cent zinc, 0.6 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 28.4g/t silver.
A further five holes were drilled around Sulphide City with three massive sulphide intersections encountered.
Initial RC drilling at the Snook prospect was a success with hole ZSRC001 intersecting three metres of massive and semi-massive sulphides close to surface.
This hole intersected three metres at 1.57 per cent copper, 1.07 per cent zinc, 0.37 per cent lead, 43 g/t silver and 0.2 g/t gold including two metres of massive sulphides at 1.95 per cent copper, 1.34 per cent zinc, 0.48 per cent lead, 55 g/t silver and 0.3 g/t gold.
Follow-up drilling extended the footprint of the massive sulphides to a length of 150 metres with the zone remaining open along strike and to the south.
Drilling at Wilsons North in 2021 intersected multiple areas of massive pyrite which usually occurs with the base metal-rich massive sulphides at the Sulphide City deposit.
Further drilling is needed to vector towards the base metal-rich portion.
Zenith has ended the day in the grey with shares trading at 37 cents.
