Zoono Group (ZNO) is boosting its production and order fulfilment capacity to keep pace with orders for its hand and surface sanitisers. During the month of April, the company made more than A$10.35 million (NZ$11 million) in sales to businesses.

Online consumer sales in New Zealand, on the other hand, were closed for all but the last seven days of the month due to high demand.

Packing and shipping have now been outsourced to a third-party logistics company in New Zealand. Zoono is also planning to add additional warehouses and distribution facilities in Australia to reduce freight costs.

The high demand for products has also prompted Zoono to increase its production and order fulfilment capacity across its U.S., U.K. and New Zealand facilities. Additionally, raw materials have been secured in advance to meet future demand.

Further, the company will commence manufacturing plastic bottles in New Zealand to reduce dependency on imports. Additionally, Zoono will begin using recyclable refill packs, as is already being done in the U.K.

In the U.K. Zoono has inked distribution agreements with distribution companies Rentokil Initial, Bunzl Health and Hygiene and Atalian Servest.

Additionally, the West Yorkshire Police are using Zoono hand sanitisers and a non-binding agreement is in place for Zoono to supply a further 140,000 50ml hand sanitisers.

At present, Zoono's long-lasting surface sanitiser is being used on a monthly basis by London Underground as well as U.K. and German trains and stations.

The company's Hong Kong distributor Healthy Giant is now providing Zoono's fogging services and products to the Hong Kong Airport. Several major airlines are also buying Zoono products.

Zoono asserts that will these adjustments to increase capacity it is well-placed to meet the continued high demand it expects for its surface and hand sanitisers.

Company shares are up 13.3 per cent and trading for $1.70 each at 1:20 pm AEST.
