Constellation Resources (CR1) has discovered a compelling nickel sulphide target at the Eyre South prospect within the Eyre Anomaly in Western Australia.

The company undertook aircore drilling programs earlier this year with the latest consisting of 24 holes, for 2367 metres.

This drilling aimed to infill the Eyre South prospect around a reconnaissance hole and to test for further anomalism at the Wylie Anomaly which is an emerging nickel sulphide target.

Latest and best results include 20 metres at 0.24 per cent nickel, 0.03 per cent copper, 0.03 per cent cobalt and 14 parts per billion (ppb) platinum and palladium including six metres at 0.42 per cent nickel, 0.04 per cent copper, 0.03 per cent cobalt and 9ppb platinum and palladium.

Additional attributes that support the Eyre South prospect’s significant potential is a continuous, thick nickel-copper-cobalt-platinum group element regolith blanket that spans 380 metres of strike, is up to 110 metres wide and remains open at depth.

The company plans to complete diamond drilling at the Eyre South prospect in the current quarter as well as geophysical survey work. It expects to receive results in the following quarter which will support future programs.

Once diamond drilling is completed at Eyre South, Constellation plans to conduct further infill aircore drilling at the Wylie and Greater Eyre anomalies.

Company shares were up 18.8 per cent to trade at 38 cents at market close.
