American West Metals (AW1) has reported a third batch of high-grade copper results from its Storm project in Canada.
Assays confirmed further thick and high-grade near-surface copper intervals at the 4100N Zone.
“The 4100N Zone has grown into a significant copper story,” AW1 Managing Director Dave O’Neill said.
“The results from the latest batch of assays, along with geophysical interpretation, show that the copper mineralisation is now over 1.3-kilometre-long, 300-metre-wide and open laterally in every direction.
“Additional extension and resource drilling will be completed to expand the footprint further.”
Results from one particular hole included 15.3 metres at 1.6 per cent copper from 59.4 metres.
Other hits were 9.1 metres at 1.1 per cent copper from 62.5 metres and 7.6 metres at 1.1 per cent copper from 106.7 metres.
Earlier in the year, the company reported alternated malachite outcropping at surface – a host mineral for copper deposits long coveted through the history of mining.
AW1 shares were down 5.13 per cent, trading at 18.5 cents at 3:05 pm AEST.
