Artemis Resources (ARV) has appointed Boyd Timler as an independent Non-Executive Director of the company.

Boyd will start in his role immediately and brings over 38 years of experience in the resource industry with him. He has experience as a senior executive and operator in both open -pit and underground gold and base metal mines.

Previously, Boyd was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Panoramic Resources (PAN) and prior to this, he was the CEO and Managing Director of Medusa Mining (MML).

Between 2005 and 2013, he held senior management roles with Barrick Gold Corporation in Australia and Africa.

His education includes a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University Alberta, Canada and he’s a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Chairman, Mark Potter, is pleased to have Boyd join the Artemis board.

“Boyd brings a wealth of experience with an impressive 20 plus year track record of building and operating gold and base metals mining operations, in addition
to 10 years of experience as a geologist,” he said.

“Boyd will add tremendous value to Artemis as we advance our Carlow Castle and Patersons projects,” Mark added.

On the market this morning, Artemis is up 7.14 per cent and is trading for 11.3 cents per share at 11:19 am AEST.
