Aruma Resources (AAJ) has intersected high-grade lithium and rubidium at its Mt Deans lithium project in Western Australia.

A total of 11 rock chip samples were taken following Aruma’s recent phase one maiden drilling program where high-grade rubidium was intersected.

The aim of the rock chip sampling was to test for strike extensions of the Mt Deans pegmatite zone that has a strike of at least 1.5 kilometres.

Notably, up to 1.96 per cent lithium oxide and 1.42 per cent rubidium oxide was intersected as well as 1500 parts per million caesium.

The sampling results indicate a strong and positive relationship between the drilling results.

“The follow-up rock chip sampling program has returned excellent results and will help refine our drill targeting for the remaining holes to be completed in our maiden drilling program at Mt Deans,” Managing Director Peter Schwann said.

“The high-grade lithium and rubidium rock chip results from the Mt Deans pegmatite is highly encouraging, and our upcoming drilling will seek to deliver further validation of Mt Deans’ potential as a valuable multi-metal asset.”

Aruma is now in the process of making plans to complete the remaining 1800 metres of the maiden Mr Deans drilling program.

Shares in Aruma were up 39.4 per cent and were trading at 9.2 cents at 10:33 am AEST.
