Auris Minerals (AUR) has updated the market regarding ongoing diamond drilling at its Forrest Deposit in Western Australia.

The third diamond hole has now been completed to a depth of 444.6 metres, bringing the total amount drilled so far to 1301.1 metres.

This hole, FPDD005, intersected a 21-metre zone of pyrite and chalcopyrite grading three per cent.

More detailed results are expected in due course.

Auris has also received significant results from hole FPDD004W1 which was drilled in late March.

Best results include six metres at 1.50 per cent copper from 305 metres, including two metres at 3.05 per cent copper from 308 metres and three metres at 1.86 per cent copper from 299 metres, including one metre at 4.35 per cent copper from 299 metres.

“Drilling at Forrest is progressing on track and we are continuing to build a much better geological understanding of the deposit and surrounding structural controls,” Managing Director Mike Hendriks commented.

“We are looking forward to receiving the assays from holes FPDD004W1 and FPDD005 and completion of DHEM later this month, which should also provide our technical team with further valuable insight into the mineralised system at Forrest,” he added.

The drill rig is now on route to the Wodger Deposit to further evaluate the copper mineralisation and resources.

Shares in Auris are down 2.30 per cent on the market and trading at 8.5 cents at 1:08 pm AEST.
