Australian Dairy Nutritionals (AHF) has successfully produced milk powders at its new infant formula plant in South Western Victoria.

AHF’s next steps include refining operational parameters and resultant powders as well as undertaking infant formula production trials.

First commercial production of the organic A2 infant formula is scheduled for June with availability in Chemist Warehouse stores targeted for H2 CY22.

Additionally, the plant has secured its domestic dairy licence and is now certified for the production of organic whole milk and skim milk powders.

Subject to normal audit protocols, AHF’s infant formula range will be certified organic.

Finally, AHF has secured the services of two of the key personnel involved in the operation of the plant, allowing the operational team to up skill quickly and effectively.

In April 2019, AHF announced it has executed an agreement to purchase an existing offshore infant formula plant.

The company said the purchase was a way for it to accelerate its entry into the organic infant formula market.

The plant was installed in Camperdown in September 2019 on time and within budget.

AHF has ended the day 3.33 per cent in the green with shares trading at 6.2 cents.
