Battery Minerals (BAT) has completed drilling at two prospects within its Stavely-Stawell Copper-Gold project in Victoria.
At the Nine Mile and Kent Road prospects, BAT completed 5737 metres of aircore drilling, bringing the total amount of drilling at the project to 9210 metres of the 15,000 metre program.
Nine Mile is one of the company’s five initial targets, with results earlier this year defining extensive bedrock mineralisation proximal to the regionally prospective Moyston fault.
This fault is a district-scale structure that contains the historical Moyston Mine and a number of other historical gold workings.
Battery Minerals said the most recent results from a further 38 holes complement earlier findings and also confirm a 1,600 metre long 0.1 gram per tonne gold anomaly.
Moving forward the company has sent anomalous and strategic intercepts for a full suite of multi-element and base metal analysis.
At the Kent Road prospect, which is located within the prospective Dryden Belt volcanics, a further 46 aircore holes have been completed.
Drilling in this area has encountered disseminated sulphides and the company expects to see gold and multi-element results reported in the March 2022 quarter.
At the overall project area the drilling program is ongoing and will continue until December 17 and recommence in the new year.
Between now and December 17, BAT said work will focus on testing targets in the historical Cosmopolitan mine area, including Rutters track, White Rabbit, Frying Pan and Coxs find.
