BetMakers (BET) subsidiaries, BetMakers DNA and Managed Trading Services, have signed multiple five-year agreements with Supreme Ventures.

Specifically, the agreements have been signed with Supreme Ventures’ subsidiaries, Prime Sports Jamaica (PSJ) and Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment (SVREL).

Founded in 1995, Supreme Ventures is the lead gaming and entertainment group of companies in Jamaica. It promotes horse racing, gaming lounges, sports betting, slot machines, and online gaming.

Under these agreements, BetMakers has secured the rights to manage fixed-odds wagering through its Managed Trading Services arm for all fixed-odds bets placed in horse racing through SVREL.

Fixed-odds allow betters to secure a given price at the time of when their bet was placed.

BetMakers has also secured exclusive rights to distribute and manage racing data for horse racing at Jamaica’s leading race track, Caymanas Park, to international online wagering operators. This will take place through its Global Racing Network.

At this point, it is not possible to measure the economic impact of the agreement, but BetMakers believes it will have a significant impact on its revenue.

“We are excited to partner with Supreme Ventures and Caymanas Park to bring fixed odds betting on horse racing into Jamaica and to export the Caymanas Park race meetings through our Global Racing Network to the rest of the world,” Managing Director Todd Buckingham said.

“This new deal again highlights our business model and intentions to partner with regulated race tracks and licenced wagering operators across the world to help sustain and grow any region’s racing industry through a globalisation of racing using BetMakers’s data and technology platforms,” he added.

BetMakers has also entered a sponsorship agreement with SVREL, in which it will sponsor and have exclusive naming and brand rights to a trainers pavilion at Caymanas Park.

“Supreme Ventures believes that the fixed odds innovation that BetMakers has championed in North America will deliver a huge benefit to the global racing industry as it competes against other sports in an increasingly competitive sports betting market,” Supreme Ventures Chairman Gary Peart commented.

“We are very proud to be one of the first tracks that will implement the sophisticated fixed odds system that BetMakers provides, and we see this new deal as a major transformational change for the Jamaican horse racing industry,” he added.

BetMakers is down 2.07 per cent on the market and shares are trading at 71 cents at 12:38 pm AEDT.
