Boab Metals (BML) has received final results from the phase four drilling program at the Sorby Hills Lead-Silver-Zinc Project.

Sorby Hills lies 50 kilometres from Kununurra in Western Australia and has a mineral resource of 44.1 million tonnes at 3.3 per cent lead, 38g/t silver and 0.5 per cent zinc.

58 diamond holes were drilled during this phase of work to advance Sorby Hills towards definitive feasibility study (DFS) status.

Best results include 11 metres at 4.69 per cent lead and 15g/t silver from 72 metres, and eight metres at 2.67 per cent lead and 39g/t silver from 102 metres.

These results came from the Norton and Omega South deposits and Boab believes they will have a positive impact on the mineral resource.

Additionally, drilling successfully identified new areas of mineralisation which will likely be followed-up in future programs.

“The results have again reinforced our confidence in the ability to efficiently and effectively upgrade the Sorby Hills resource size and JORC classification with each drill program,” Managing Director Simon Noon said.

“Furthermore, the results have pointed us toward a range of low-risk opportunities to materially expand the mining inventory of the Sorby Hills deposit,” he added.

Shares in Boab are up 3.26 per cent on the market and trading at 47.5 cents at 11:47 am AEDT.
