Brisbane Broncos (BBL) shares are in the green today following its annual general meeting.

The rugby league team recorded a net profit after tax for the 2021 financial year (ending December 31) of $2.9 million, compared to a net loss after tax of $400,000 the year before.

Broncos recorded gross revenue of $51 million, a 46 per cent increase on 2020, with total expenditure for 2021 at $46.7 million.

Mr Morris is looking forward to 2022, with several new players.

“It is encouraging to see the progress being made and the achievements to date in 2022,” he said.

The Broncos Board also thanked Paul White who has left his role as CEO after ten years last year, and welcomed new CEO Dave Donaghy.

“We welcome Dave to the Broncos and are excited about the future under his leadership and the experience he brings to the role,” Mr Morris added.
