Castillo Copper (CCZ) has been given the green light from the New South Wales Resources Regulator to commence a drilling campaign at its BHA project.

The company expects to begin drilling shortly, with logistics and drilling teams preparing to deploy to site.

The drill program will consist of one diamond core and 17 reverse circulation (RC) drill holes for 2100 metres across four prospects.

This includes the Reefs Tank, Tors Tank, Fence Gossan prospects, where drilling will aim to potentially intersect two lower cobalt-rich zones.

The company interprets these zones to host higher grade mineralisation than what has been modelled to date.

“The board’s key objective from this upcoming campaign is to extend known mineralisation across the four prospects undergoing drill-testing as well as boost the confidence and grade of the current cobalt-copper MRE,” Managing Director Dr Dennis Jensen said.

Shares were trading 3.13 per cent higher at 1.7 cents each at 1:27 pm AEST.
