De Grey Mining (DEG) has announced drilling at its Hemi Gold Discovery has found Brolga mineralisation extends north towards Aquila and northeast towards Scooby Zones.

The company also said the overall footprint of Hemi, located in WA, is now approximately 2.5 kilometres long and 2 kilometres wide, with three main zones.

De Grey has been using aircore, reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling at the site, including at Brolga, to test and extend the known mineralisation.

It said aircore drilling intersected mineralisation 320 metres to the northeast of Brolga, trending towards Scooby, with best results of 17 metres at 1.4 g/t of gold from 64 metres, and 4 metres at 3.3g/t of gold from 44 metres.

RC drilling was then conducted to test for extensions to mineralisation to the north, northeast and southwest of Brolga.

The best results include three metres at 10g/t of gold from 152 metres, at a fence of three RC holes drilled 80 metres southwest of previous RC drilling at Brolga. While the best results from north of Brolga include seven metres at 3.9g/t of gold from 53 metres.

While, specific diamond drilling has been used to provide samples for metallurgical variability and optimisation testwork, with best results including 3.2 metres at 8g/t of gold from 106.3 metres, and 4.3 metres at 2.8g/t of gold from 96 metres.

De Grey Managing Director, Glenn Jardine, said the latest drilling updates were very pleasing and support the company’s outlook for Hemi.

“The rig combination at Hemi is allowing us to locate near surface extensions with aircore drilling, delineate and extend known mineralisation with RC and then look for depth extensions with the diamond rigs,” he said.

“This combination is working successfully toward our strategic goal of making Hemi a Tier 1 scale deposit and finding additional upside nearby,” he added.

Following today’s update shares in De Grey are trading higher, up a slight 3.61 per cent at 86 cents each at 10:33 am AEST.
