Desert Metals (DM1) will commence a diamond drilling program at the Irrida Hill prospect, which is part of its Narryer Project in Western Australia.

The company will target four strong late-time conductors which, due to visual results from drill core, have been confirmed to be caused by disseminated to massive sulphides.

In addition to Irrida Hill, Desert Metals will conduct further drilling at the nearby Innouendy prospect to define the extent of massive sulphides.

Unfortunately, drilling at Irrida Hill has been delayed by recent heavy rain and is expected to start next week instead.

Desert Metals also recently completed an airborne electromagnetic (EM) survey over its eastern licences within the Narryer Project.

Positively, data from the 1800-line-kilometre survey has revealed multiple conductive targets which have been grouped into three focus areas. These areas represent a significant expansion of Desert Metals’ prospective footprint in the Narryer Project. Desert Metals is pleased to have a “substantial bank” of excellent targets to work through and drill test.

The company plans to drill these high-priority targets once ground EM work has been completed. The EM data is currently in the process of being collected which will help to define drill targets from the airborne survey conducted over the eastern area of the Narryer Project.

Company shares have dropped 10.4 per cent and are trading at 77.5 cents at 10:19 am AEST.
