  • Glen Tindall has been given the reins to Electro Optic System’s (EOS) new Communications Systems sector
  • The sector comprises three recently bought companies, which together should form a full-service space communications company within EOS
  • The new CEO has a background in satellite communications, and extensive experience managing space communication companies
  • EOS shares are selling at $5.26 per share, down 7.72 per cent

Electro Optics Systems (EOS) has announced a new CEO to head up a newly created division within the company, focusing on space communications.

Glen Tindall will oversee the sector, integrating the newly acquired companies (listed below) with EOS’s current resources, to form a full-service space communications offering.

The Communications Systems sector is comprised of EM Solutions (EMS), acquired in October 2019, Audacy Corporation, acquired last month, and Collinear, acquired on June 19, 2020.

Group CEO of EOS, Ben Greene, said Mr Tindall brings a strong technical background and industry experience to the role.

“EOS is very pleased to announce the appointment of such an outstanding executive as Mr Tindall to lead its Communication Systems sector,” he said.

This appointment means that EOS now has the critical technical resources and leadership required to move forward to offer an innovative range of high-value communication services,” Ben added.

However, today’s CEO announcement came as a shock to some investors, as it was the first time they had learnt of EOS’s acquisition of Collinear.

EOS already operates in two other sectors, EOS Defence Systems and EOS Space Systems.

EOS shares are down 7.72 per cent, selling at $5.26 per share.
