Media company engage:BDR (EN1) has signed a new supply integration with children’s-only content streaming service, Kidoodle.

Kidoodle is one of the world’s fastest-growing content streaming services which caters specifically to children. The service was founded nine years ago, and has since established itself in heavily populated markets like the United States, the United Kingdom, and south-east Asia.

In 2020 Kidoodle experienced “explosive growth”, with the total number of its streaming service users increasing by over 3000 per cent in only 12 months.

The Kidoodle streaming service is now available in 160 countries, and can boast one of the largest kids’ content video libraries outside of YouTube. Kidoodle is also accessible on 1000 different devices, including iOS devices, Android devices, MACs, PCs, and connected TV/over-the-top (CTV/OTT) streaming media boxes like Roku, Apple TV and Fire TV.

Under the recently signed partnership, engage:BDR will provide Kidoodle with solutions for monetising the streaming services’ CTV/OTT inventory. The company’s proprietary technology allows digital publishers to monetise available advertising space by making inventory available to thousands of advertisers at the same time, through real-time bidding auctions.

This will assist Kidoodle in its goal to compete with mega-viewing platforms like YouTube and Netflix Kids. The streaming service, which reached 12 million subscribers in 2020’s fourth quarter, is aiming to reach 50 million subscribers by the end of 2021.

The integration between engage:BDR and Kidoodle has already been completed and is currently undergoing testing. The partnership is expected to go fully live and start generating daily recurring revenue by the end of April.

engage:BDR is in the grey, trading at 0.6 cents per share at 12:27 pm AEST.
