Canadian resource developer Euro Manganese (EMN) has made some promotions within its board and management team, effective immediately.

Tom Stepien

Primus Power CEO and Co-founder, Tom Stepien, has been appointed as a director of Euro Manganese.

Tom brings over 30 years’ experience in global high technology management, operations and engineering at small and large companies.

Prior to co-founding Primus Power, a battery energy storage company, Tom was a Vice President at semiconductor equipment manufacturer, Applied Materials.

“We feel strongly that Tom’s proven leadership abilities and impressive technical and entrepreneurial experience are ideally suited to work with our board as we strive to create value for our shareholders,” Interim Chairman John Webster said.

As part of the appointment, Tom has been granted stock options to purchase 500,000 common company shares, which are exercisable at C$0.125 (roughly A$0.132 cents).

Andrea Zaradic

Current Project Director at the company, Andrea Zaradic, has been promoted to Vice President of Operations.

Andrea has been working for EMN since April 2019. She brings over 30 years’ global experience in corporate, project and business development within the mining and renewable energy industries.

She has also held senior roles includes CEO of Northair Silver, Vice President of Operations and Development for Magma Energy Corp, and Construction and Senior Process Operations Engineer for BHP Billiton.

Currently, Andrea serves on the boards of Kootenay Silver and Reservoir Capital.

“She is perfectly suited for this role as we enter the exciting and demanding next phase of the Chvaletice Manganese Project development,” President and CEO Marco Romero said on Andrea’s promotion.

Dr Thomas Glück

Dr Thomas Glück has been appointed EMN’s Chief Technology Officer.

He has been the Vice President for Project Development at EMN since January 2018. He has also worked as a manganese processing consultant for the company since 2016.

Thomas is a chemical engineer with more than 30 years’ experience in the design, development and operation of high-purity manganese processing plants.

Importantly, he has played a significant role in evaluating, planning and designing the process flowsheet for the company’s Chvaletice Manganese Project.

“He has been a valuable member of our team for four years and will now focus his attention on the technological aspects that are critical to the success of the project,” Marco stated.

Company shares are trading 11.1 per cent higher for 15 cents at 11:51 am AEST.
