Fahan School is an independent, day and boarding school located in Sandy Bay, a suburb of Hobart, Tasmania.

It is a non-denominational school with a Christian ethos. The school has a non-selective enrolment policy and currently caters for approximately 383 students from Pre K to Year 12, including boarders from years 5 to 12.

Fahan School is located on a single campus with grounds overlooking the River Derwent. Boarding students are accommodated in one of two houses. The Senior Boarding residence provides private accommodation and study facilities for Year 11 and 12 students. Boarders from Years 5 to 10 live in ‘Nateby’. Both boarding houses are located within the school grounds.

Fahan School strives to create an inclusive community and progressive educational environment where each student can be prepared and educated to achieve her full potential. Fahan School’s aim is to continue to be recognised and respected as a most outstanding and pre-eminent school for girls in Tasmania as well as being a preferred educational environment for students both within Australia and overseas.

Some of these facilities include a food and digital technology hub, an award-winning music school, three modern and spacious laboratories, a science computer lab, a visual arts studio and a modern gymnasium.
