Firbank Grammar School is an independent, Anglican, day and boarding school that is situated in the suburb of Brighton, in the bayside area of Melbourne, Victoria.
Established in 1909, the school currently caters for approximately 1200 students. The Early Learning Centre (ELC) and primary school are co-educational, whilst the secondary school (Years 7 to 12) is for girls only.
Firbank welcomes and value overseas students to study in Australia. Students are encouraged to hold onto and share their cultural integrity, while adapting to Australian education and making life-long friends at our international school.
Firbank offers world-class facilities across all campuses. The school is committed to providing students with the skills and experience they need to embrace an ever-changing world. This means upgrading and replacing older buildings and amenities to ensure infrastructure matches the delivery of their curriculum programs.
Firbank’s co-curricular sport and art programs support students to follow their passions and attain excellent results. Some of the clubs and activities offered include coding club, debating, art club, adventure club, rowing, homework club and writers club.
Performing arts, visual arts, outdoor education and media studies compliment the outstanding academic curriculum. Music at Firbank is an essential part of every child's education and the music school operates across all three campuses. Core classes are taught until Year 8 and students can then select general or specialist music as an elective.
Wellbeing plays a central role in Firbank’s philosophy. Firbank is committed to providing a safe and secure environment in which students are able to learn and grow. The Student Wellbeing Group aims to create a united school community and ensure that every girl feels safe and comfortable at school.
