Galan Lithium (GLN) has progressed operations at its Hombre Muerto West lithium project in Argentina, with new targets identified.

The Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) is within budget and on schedule to be completed by the end of this year.

Meanwhile, the company completed two pumping boreholes, with short term pumping tests performed and a third borehole to be implemented soon.

It has constructed the main pond for the pilot plant, with brine filling imminent and evaporation to follow.

An exploration diamond drill hole is underway at Pata Pila, which will gather information on a potential mineral resource extension beyond salar limits.

The mineral resource is on track to be completed within the third quarter.

Potential new mineral resource zones have been identified from a recently conducted transient electromagnetic geophysical survey. Exploration drilling will be conducted on these zones in the second quarter.

“My meetings with local Catamarca authorities saw evidence of excellent governmental and community support for the Hombre Muerto West and Candelas projects,” Managing Director and CEO JP Vargas de la Vega said.

“We are proud to be rapidly advancing projects that offer such economic and social benefits to the broader regions in which they are located.”

Shares were trading 1.89 per cent higher today at $1.89 each at 12:34pm AEDT.
