Golden Deeps (GED) has begun a drilling program at the Nosib Prospect in Namibia to extend and test the high-grade mineralisation.

Between eight to 12 reverse circulation (RC) holes will be drilled to test extensions to the northeast of hole NSBRC007 which intersected up to 3.67 per cent copper, 14.9 per cent lead, 4.4 per cent vanadium oxide and 12.16g/t silver.

Golden Deeps will also test extensions of the copper-silver mineralisation across the prospect.

The company will initially aim to extend to mineralisation over 100 metres in strike and to more than 100 metres in depth to determine the scope of the resource target.

Once this work wraps up, diamond drilling will be undertaken to test the copper-lead-vanadium mineralisation for structure and mineralogy.

Subject to grade and continuity, the diamond drilling will also test the copper-silver mineralisation to define to underground resource potential.

Golden Deeps has also received the majority of the results from RC drilling at the Khusib Springs Prospect.

Best results include six metres at 1.07 per cent copper and 86.03g/t silver from 13 metres, including two metres at 2.59 per cent copper and 179.49g/t silver from 16 metres.

These results confirm that remnant copper-silver mineralisation remains un-mined and will no be reviewed for open pit resource potential.

“We are looking forward to continuing drilling at Nosib, to not only extend the shallow high-grade copper-lead-vanadium zone, but also to see if the copper-silver zone continues to increase in thickness and grade with depth,” CEO Jon Dugdale commented.

“In addition, the intersection of shallow high-grade copper-silver at Khusib Springs will now lead to further planning, to not only define this shallow zone, but also explore for a deeper repeat of this very high-grade copper-silver orebody.”

Golden Deeps was steady on the market with shares trading at 1.3 cents at 1:03 pm AEST.
