Golden Mile Resources (G88) has provided updates regarding ongoing drilling activities at its Darlot and Leonora East projects.
The Darlot
The Darlot Gold Project lies roughly 110 kilometres north of Leonora in Western Australia and consists of a single exploration tenement.
Golden Mile has already completed a ground magnetic survey and soil sampling across the central target area.
Additionally, information was collected about gold-in-soil anomalies to help plan an aircore (AC) drilling program.
A 1000 metre aircore drilling program started yesterday with 30 holes planned for the largest soil anomaly, and a further 10 holes planned for a second one.
The data collected across the main anomaly showed it to be associated with historic workings and close to a granite-mafic contact.
The Leonora East
Once work has wrapped up at Darlot, the rig will move to the Leonora East Project to begin AC drilling at the Benalla Gold Trend.
The aim of this work will be to complete priority testing of the BGT 1 and BGT 3 targets.
BGT 1 was the largest anomaly identified, returning up to 387ppb (parts per billion) gold.
Additionally, BGT 3 was partially drilled in first phase work with this upcoming drilling aiming to complete it.
Results will be announced in due course.
Golden Mile is down 6.85 per cent and shares are trading for 6.8 cents each at 12:54 pm AEDT.
