Greenland Minerals Ltd has signed a Tripartite Memorandum Participation Agreement with Kommune Kajalleq and Kujalleq Business Council.

This will grant the mining licence application for the company’s Kvanefjeld Project in Southern Greenland.

Kujalleq Business Council is the local organisation representing the local workforce and businesses. The (TMPA) agreement outlines the three parties have recognised the importance of sharing knowledge about local culture, land use practices and skills development for local business involving the projected influx of project workers.

Mr R.C. Rasmussen, Chairman of Kujalleq Business Council and Kiista P. Isaksen, the Mayor of Kommune Kujalleq are confident the Participation Agreement will contribute support for the local community and businesses.

“The local business community and workforce has significant potential to participate in supplying labour, services, and supplies to Kvanefjeld and the Participation Agreement will provide a planning framework to ensure all reasonable opportunities are identified and exploited for the benefit of all parties,” Rasmussen said.
