Golden State Mining (GSM) has started its phase two aircore (AC) drilling at the Yule Project in Western Australia.

Up to 15,000 metres of drilling will be undertaken with aims to test target areas at the Yule North and Yule South tenements.

Work is expected to take six weeks to complete and first drill results are expected in November.

Four gold and base metal targets will be tested at the Yule North tenement along the Bella Yule intrusions and Sholl Shear zone.

Two structural and intrusive targets will then be tested at the Yule South tenement with focus on prospective zones at the targets.

Work will also test several discrete magnetic anomalies along the southern margin.

“The results gained from the inaugural aircore reconnaissance drilling program at Yule South are further evidence that this region has all the hallmarks of a premier gold exploration destination,” Managing Director Michael Moore said.

“GSM is strategically positioned with approximately 700 square kilometres of the tenement and we look forward to embarking on our phase two drilling program over six target areas with an enhanced understanding of the substantial exploration potential in the Mallina Basin,” he added.

Golden State is up 4.08 per cent and shares are trading for 25.5 cents each at 2:26 pm AEDT.
