Good Drinks Australia (GDA) has announced a new partnership with the distributors of Magners Irish Cider.

The new partnership will see Good Drinks team up with C&C International, trading under the name of Magner, to represent its cider range of brands in Australia.

“There couldn’t be a better day to announce this partnership, on St Patrick’s Day,” said Managing Director John Hoedemaker.

“We’re proud to partner with Magners Irish Cider and onboard such a well-regarded range of brands into our portfolio.”

Headquartered in Dublin, C&C Group is a leading premium drinks company that manufactures, markets, and distributes branded beer, cider, wine, spirits, and soft drinks across the UK and Ireland, and exports its Magners Irish Cider range of brands to over 40 countries worldwide.

Following the signing, Good Drinks will become the exclusive Australian importer and distributor for the Magners Original Irish Cider in 330 millilitre (mL) bottles, 568mL bottles and 49.5-litre keg formats.

Good Drinks said the partnership will allow the company access to broader categories of the liquor market, while complements the current Good Drinks product range.

“The partnership is in line with our broader strategy and continues to add diversity to our portfolio,” said Mr Hoedemaker.

“Magners has a significant history and is a truly global business. The decision to partner with Good Drinks Australia is a further vote in confidence in our national sales and marketing team.”

Subject to the finalisation, the agreement will span from July 2022 to February 28, 2026, with the potential to extend the agreement by a further three years.

Good Drinks Australia were down 0.34 per cent to 73 cents at 12:10 pm AEDT.
