Halo Food Co’s (HLF) subsidiary has received its first order from Woolworths for its powdered smoothie products.

Halo’s wholly-owned subsidiary, The Healthy Mummy (THM) received the opening order from the retail giant for three of its core THM smoothie products to be ranged nationally.

The initial order totals $291,000 and will hit shelves from late January.  

The products include an on-the-go variety sachet pack, plus vanilla and chocolate “tummy smoothies,” all manufactured in-house at Halo’s Melbourne facilities.

The expected sales value of the THM products into Woolworths is forecast to be around $2.5 million in the first year.

“It is exciting to see the strength of the opportunities for retail ranging of The Healthy Mummy products and the fast execution into store, utilising Halo’s brand and manufactruing know how,” Halo CEO Jourdan Thompson said.

“The Halo team looks forward to working closely with Woolworths on the product activation and enabling its success in store while continuing to build the strength of The Healthy Mummy brand.”

The company said retail distribution for The Healthy Mummy will continue to be a key growth objective for 2023 while it spearheads a retail ranging campaign of THM products into major grocery and mass market retailers.

Halo Food Co shares were up 3.7 per cent to trade at 2.8 cents at 11:20 am AEDT.
