Gold exploration company Meteoric Resources’ (MEI) team will arrive at its WA-based Palm Springs Gold Project by the end of this week.

The team is being stationed at the project ahead of the company’s stage one drilling campaign, which is expected to commence on August 17.

The drilling campaign will include both reverse circulation and diamond drilling and aims to confirm and extend the known high-grade mineralisation, south of the existing Butchers Creek open pit.

Stage one drilling will commence on the cross-section that includes the single drill hole BCRC334, which resulted in 73 metres at 2.26g/t of gold from 169 metres.

“I am thrilled that we have a WA based team on the ground and ready to mobilise to Palm Springs next week. Certainly, drilling gives us all something to look forward to,” Managing Director Andrew Tunks said.

“This program will be hugely exciting for the team and MEI shareholders as we break ground on this highly prospective project that historically had some amazing results,” he added.

Meteoric is up 6.67 per cent on the market today and is trading for 4.8 cents per share at 12:42 pm AEST.
