Moho Resources (MOH) has identified strong gold anomalism across a 90-kilometre zone at its Empress Springs Project in Queensland.

In mid-2020, the company initiated a regional hydrogeochemistry study at the project, with the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO).

The study was intended to use water samples from water bores to identify and locate potential chemical signatures, which could identify large mineralised systems beneath the cover rock.

Moho Resources has now received the results of the hydrochemical borehole sampling program, which will help the company to find new mineralisation at Empress Springs. The results have demonstrated significant gold anomalism, highlighting a roughly 90-kilometre long northwest to southeast trend within the project’s tenements.

Moho Resources’ Managing Director, Shane Sadleir, called the new gold anomaly an exciting development for the company.

“We are delighted with the results of this unique survey, which has been conducted in conjunction with highly reputable researchers at CSIRO and overviewed by experienced explorer and Moho’s JV partner, IGO,” he said.

“The study confirms the mineralisation discovered under cover thus far by Moho and significantly reinforces the potential for new discoveries within our granted tenements and surrounding areas which the company has recently applied for,” he added.

Moho Resources has applied for 1018 square kilometres in new tenement areas at Empress Springs, to cover the newly identified hydrogeochemical anomalies. If granted, the new tenements will increase the company’s ground holding at the project by 29 per cent to 3403 square kilometres.

Moho Resources is up 5.68 per cent and trading at 9.3 cents per share at 1:50 pm AEDT.
