Patriot Battery Metals (PMT) has received core assays from a series of drill holes completed as part of its 2023 winter drill program at the company’s Corvette property in Quebec.

The winter program focused on targeting Patriot’s recently defined eastward extension CV5 pegmatite, which is 13.5 kilometres south of the regional and all-weather Trans-Taiga road and powerline infrastructure.

Prospects travelling through the company’s CV5 pegmatite were drill-tested, including PMT’s Nova zone and its western extension across the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region of Quebec.

Patriot’s Nova zone returned intercepts of 95.3 metres at 1.62 per cent lithium oxide from 232 metres, and 47.6 metres at 2.09 per cent lithium oxide which extended more than 1.1 kilometres in strike.

Meanwhile, the company’s westward extension returned 127.7 metres at 1.78 per cent lithium oxide from a maximum depth of 189 metres, including 50.1 metres of 2.43 per cent lithium oxide.

Two drill core samples over the westward extension of Patriot’s CV5 pegmatite are yet to be received, which include a continuous 93-metre interval of spodumene-bearing pegmatite in the most westerly drill hole.

“The final assay results for the recently completed winter drill hole program continue to come in, with 12 holes now remaining to be reported,” Patriot President and CEO Blair Way said.

“Results continue to impress as we position for the release of our initial mineral resource
estimate at CV5.”

Patriot announced it remains on track to deliver a mineral resource estimate for its Corvette property in July, which will include all completed drill holes from April 17, 2023.

PMT shares traded at $1.90 at 10:25 am AEST.
