Patriot Battery Metals (PMT) has recorded its widest and highest grade lithium drill intercept to date at its Corvette property in Quebec, Canada.

Core assay results from 14 additional drill holes completed at the CV5 pegmatite returned a top result of 156.9 metres at 2.12 per cent lithium oxide in one hole, which included 25 metres at just over five per cent lithium oxide.

This drill hole was completed as a step out along strike of a drill hole which intersected 113.1 metres at 1.61 per cent lithium oxide back in December.

Patriot Vice President of Exploration Darren Smith said it was hard to find words to adequately describe the “impressive nature” of the lithium mineralisation intercepted.

“Visual estimates of spodumene abundance may give you a sense, but assays are the true measure and have certainly astounded with this hole.

“As we move east, we are defining a significant high-grade zone at a coarse drill spacing of 50 to 100 metres,” Mr Smith said.

The zone within the overall pegmatite has been defined by several drill holes over a strike length of at least 250 metres.

Moving forward, the company’s winter campaign will test extensions of this zone eastwardly.

The company’s follow up work is due to be completed ahead of an initial mineral resource estimate planned for the first half of this year.

Meanwhile, core assay results for twenty-four drill holes from the 2022 drill campaign remain to be reported – ten from the CV5 pegmatite cluster and fourteen from the CV13 pegmatite cluster.

Patriot shares were up 29.1 per cent trading at $1.13 at 3:45 pm AEDT.
