Pursuit Minerals (PUR) has extended the gold mineralising system at the Ablett Prospect over 800 metres length.

The company received air core drilling result from a program which took place in May at the Calingiri East tenement within its Warrior Project in Western Australia, targeting several prospects including Smogo, Phil’s Hill West and Ablett.

A total of 58 holes for 2085 metres was completed before wet weather halted the production.

At Ablett, 24 holes for 971 metres were drilled, returning low grade gold mineralisation beneath an auger geological anomaly, which was first uncovered in March.

Ablett’s results included 16 metres at 0.19 grams of gold per tonne (g/t) from surface, including eight metres at 0.24 g/t gold from four metres, and extended the trending gold mineralisation to over 800 metres.

Pursuit Managing Director Bob Affleck said the prospectivity of Ablett has been confirmed by multiple broad low-grade gold intervals from air core drilling completed in Q2.

“The gold mineralising system extends over 800 metres length and a coherent picture of west-dipping mineralisation is emerging which is very encouraging,” Bob Affleck said.

Resampling of anomalous intervals on a metre basis has now been submitted for testing to better understand the gold distribution.

Pursuit Minerals last traded at 1.9 cents on August 5.
