Red River Resources (RVR) has released a quarterly production update, showing slight declines in the amount of copper, zinc and lead it managed to produce.

Qld operations

The company stated that its Thalanga Operations in Queensland produced 3068 tonnes of copper concentrate, 6959 tonnes of zinc concentrate and 1613 tonnes of lead concentrate in the three months to March 31.

In comparison, the operations produced 3564 dry metric tonnes (DMT) of copper concentrate, 7430 DMT of zinc concentrate and 1914 DMT of lead concentrate over the December quarter.

RVR explained it had to stop mining activities in the Far West mine for several days in March, as it carried out an investigation into a safety incident.

No injuries or equipment damage was recorded and mine production has since resumed and returned to normal.

The company said its process plant drew down on ore stockpiles held on the ROM pad to continue production during the period of stoppage.

NSW operations

Red River’s Hillgrove Gold Mine produced 667 ounces of gold over the quarter, including 261 ounces in doré and 406 ounces in concentrates.

RVR is continuing to ramp-up production at the gold mine, with the mill brought on line towards the end of January.

The company stated more details about the mine and its Thalanga Operations will be released in its full quarterly report.

Shares in Red River Resources are trading down 6.38 per cent at 22 cents per share at 1:32 pm AEDT.
