Resolution Minerals (RML) has appointed Steven Groves as its new Managing Director, effective July 1.

The company said Mr Groves brought with him a wealth of knowledge, with over 27 years of geological and corporate experience in the mineral resources and mining sector.

Most recently, he was one of the founding directors of Sultan Resources (SLZ) and led the company as Managing Director since its ASX listing in 2018.

He has also served as the Technical Director of Si6 Metals (SI6) and occupied a variety of exploration and management roles with companies such as BHP Billiton (BHP), Newmont Mining and A-Cap Resources (ACB).

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Groves said he is joining the company at a time of significant growth.

“Resolution has a wonderful portfolio of quality explorations assets across both the battery metals and gold sectors and has generated multiple high-potential drill targets that are due to be tested in the coming months,” Mr Groves said.

Mr Groves has a Bachelor of Applied Geology (Honours) and a Master’s of Economic Geology from CODES-SRC at the University of Tasmania and is a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists (AIG) and the Society of Economic Geologists (SEG).

On the commencement of his new role, Mr Groves will receive a remuneration package of $300,000 per annum including superannuation and 10.5 million KPI based performance rights.

Resolution Minerals shares are tumbling 15.38 per cent lower to 1.1 cents each at 10:19 am AEST.
